Speakers 2009: Helen Drexler
Helen Drexler serves at Anthem BC/BS as a Director of Account Management for Large Group Accounts in Colorado. Prior to this position, Helen served as Program Director to Anthem’s Plan President, supporting the development, implementation and execution of business plans and strategies. Helen has been with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield for over 12 years and with other Blues Plans since 1986. During her time at Anthem, she served as director of Claims Operations, co-program director for a major System Implementation, and executive director of Membership Services.
Helen was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and spent 7 years of her childhood in New Guinea as the daughter of a Lutheran missionary. She has lived in many states and attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington, before transferring to the University of New Mexico to complete her bachelors degree in sociology. She now lives in Lafayette, CO with her husband Joe. She also serves on the board of Parent Pathways, a non-profit organization focused on helping teen parents raise healthy families.
