Speakers 2007: Helen Thompson, MA, RD, CDE

Helen Thompson, MA, RD, CDE is the Program and Research Liaison at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, Center for Human Nutrition. As the Program and Research Liaison, Ms. Thompson assists the Center director in spanning the boundaries between scientific and translational research. Working under Dr. James Hill, she is the Director of America On the Move in Colorado, a national initiative to combat obesity and obesity related diseases through small changes in lifestyle. She and her team conduct research on programs they have developed for America On the Move. A major focus of her work is now promoting environmental and policy changes to facilitate active living and healthy eating in communities in an effort to create a healthier Colorado.
