Speakers 2007: Ken Detweiler
Ken Detweiler is the Director of Risk Related Activities for Colorado Springs School District 11. He has worked for the district for 14 years and is responsible for employee benefits, risk management, insurance and safety. Prior to working for District 11, Mr. Detweiler was employed by the Bell System where he worked for various telephone companies, Bell Telephone Laboratories and AT&T. He retired after 30 years from USWest as Vice President of Risk Management and Employee Services. Mr. Detweiler is currently serving on the Colorado Boards of Education Self-Funded Trust. He recently retired as the Chair of the Board for the Colorado Delta Dental Insurance Company where he served for 9 years. He received his B.S. degree in Engineering Mathematics from the University of Arizona and pursued graduate study at Iowa State University and the Wharton School of Business.
