Speakers 2007: Pierre Malek, MD
Pierre Malek, MD has been the Vice President and Regional Medical Director for Great-West Healthcare since 2003. Dr. Malek graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in 1980 and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Malek has served on faculty at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, Southwestern Medical School as well as the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. He has 18 years experience in managed care in regional as well as national health plans and has also served as Chief Medical Officer for the Colorado Foundation of Medical Care. Dr. Malek is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians; is a certified Coding Specialist by the American Health Information Management Association; and a certified Case Manager by the Case Management Society of America.
