Speakers 2008: Rachel Oys, MPP, JD

Rachel Oys is the lead staff person for the LiveWell Colorado transition, responsible for the development and establishment of the new 501(c) 3 and oversight of the existing organization’s day-to-day operations. Oys comes to LiveWell Colorado from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment where she spent seven years serving as director of the Colorado Physical Activity and Nutrition Program and, subsequently, the Healthy Living Branch. Her prior experience includes managing HIV/AIDS Education Network Grant activities for the American Red Cross and coordinating an AIDS awareness initiative in Moscow, Russia, for AIDS Infoshare. Oys holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies and Russian, a master’s in public policy and a law degree - all from the University of Denver.
